Grandfather hacked up wife and two grandkids with an axe then ordered room service
69-year-old John Walsh went missing after allegedly killing his wife and two grandchildren, aged 7 and 5, and severely injuring his daughter, who was the mother of the two kids.
No one is quite sure what might have caused Walsh to get an axe and hack up his family, when a hammer would have been much more handy and probably more readily available. It's also unclear why he drove to a nearby motel after the massacre occurred and calmly ordered a delicious breakfast of bacon and eggs on toast. After all, he was already in a fully-stocked kitchen when he chopped his wife to pieces.
